Alexandra Bailey
Alexandra Bailey is a former National Organizing Specialist at the ACLU, and is currently a candidate for commissioner in Washington DC. Previously, Alexandra worked for the Obama campaign, and was the coordinator for Women’s March in Chicago, Illinois. She trained in organizing and political change theory under Marshal Ganz at Harvard Kennedy, and has used that knowledge to win campaigns ranging from tenant protection, to voting rights for unhoused citizens, to the passage of the Equal Right Amendment in Illinois. In her spare time she is the Coordinator and Lead Organizer for the DC Neighbors for Racial Justice, an anti-racism education body that reappropriates wealth and power along racial lines.
